Kim Delaney was an American actress. Her most well-known role is for her role as the detective Diane Russell, in the ABC series NYPD Blue. For this she was awarded an Emmy Award. Also, she has appeared in shows like All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Delaney was the sole child of her homemaker mother and high-ranking executive of her union, the United Auto Workers. Delaney was a child with her four brothers. As a child she longed to be an official in the courtroom. But after she graduated from high school and relocating in New York in the 1980s, she began modeling. Delaney was portrayed as a young innocent in 1981's soap-opera All My Children. Delaney was a talented young actress who was in her 20s, appeared in numerous TV shows and in dramas. Her professional career has been much more lucrative than her personal life. The talented actor has had to battle alcoholism, and has had two divorces. The year 2005 was the time she was denied custody of the sole child that she had.
