Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, better known by her stage name of Ari Lennox, is an American artist and performer who hails from Washington, D.C., who was the first woman to sign with J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. Her first EP, Pho was released on the 21st of October, 2016 and was released by Dreamville Records. She began to gain recognition. The album that she released as her debut album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox first uploaded her music on the internet in 2012. Her debut album Ariography as well as her debut mixtape in 2013, Five Finger Discount. Ari Lennox continued to upload her songs online throughout 2014, which included the self-released single Bound. She was featured in Omen's Elephant Eyes as well as from Sweat It Out, on the 21st of July, 2015. J. Cole asked her to work with him on Rihanna's reference. Then, later in the season, the music was played around Dreamville. She was officially signed to Dreamville Records on 8 December. Backseat was her contribution for the Revenge of the Dreamers II album. In the month of October the singer-songwriter released her debut EP Pho. Ari Lennox was a guest on J. Cole's Change and also performed as part of The 4 Your Eyez Only Tour as an opening artist. She also appeared in 2018 in two of her songs with labelmates EarthGang for Nothing but the Best. And Bas in Icarus. The debut album of Ari Lennox Shea Butter Baby was released on 16 July 2018. The album's first single, called Whipped Cream The album's first single, Whipped Cream dropped on September 5, 2018 with a music video. In November, she dropped her singles 40 Shades of Choke & Grampa. In November 13, she came out with two additional singles, The No One or Pedigree. Then she appeared as a guest on the Creed II soundtrack with Cole on a track entitled Shea Butter Baby on November 16th. She released the single on February 26, 2019, for her debut album the same name. On February 20, 2019, a music video was released for the song. It has already received more than 3 million hits on YouTube within the initial week. The singer was a part of the 6LACK's From East Atlanta With Love Tour back in December of 2018.
